South Windsor, CT: Local ActivitiesSupport the South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank hosted by South Windsor Chamber of Commerce Uptown Consignments located at 1735 Ellington Road, South Windsor will be collecting non-perishable food items for the South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank. The event will be held on March 25 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Anyone bringing in a food donation will receive 20% off one item in the store. The South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank will receive 10% of all sales. Please join them for an evening of friends, food, shopping and helping to make a difference. Chef George Parker will be the guest with a raw foods presentation. George has been a vegetarian since 1974 and a vegan since 1977. His many working experiences have convinced him of the benefits of eating raw foods. Through his company Balanced on Raw, he works to help people achieve nutritional, physical and spiritual balance. Please bring a healthy vegan dish to share along with a note card listing your ingredients. Vegan denotes zero animal ingredients, honey, fish, meat, or dairy products.
